A WORD A WEEK CHALLENGE – ARCH

There are so many photography sights with such great ideas.  I just found this one today, So I thought I would give it a try.

This picture is from the same location as my Weekly Photo Challenge, but this time I am under the castle.  And since it is actually a picture of me, it should be obvious that I didn’t take the picture.  My lovely wife snapped this shot after I climbed up into the arch.

Welcome to Dunluce Castle.

Near Portrush in Northern Ireland, the castle was built some time in the 13th century.

Abandoned in 1690, it was left to deteriorate.

Nature took it’s toll.

Bringing the castle’s inside, out.
