I finally got a chance to visit the new Paul Konerko statue at U.S. Cellular Field. Although from this angle he looks a bit more like Plastic Man.

Always a class act, Paul Konerko expressed thanks to 38,000 of his closest friends tonight.

Thanks for the memories.

What’s the deal with the blue seats?

Any fan of the White Sox worth his or her weight can tell you that the last two blue seats inside U.S. Cellular Field mark the spots where Paul Konerko’s grand slam and Scott Podsednik’s game winning home run landed during game 2 of the 2005 World Series.

With Konerko entering his last month as a player, I thought it would be I good time to revisit Section 159, Row 7, Seat 4.

Throw back uniforms on Sunday, but not a throw back player. Paul Konerko continues to be a fan favorite at U.S. Cellular Field.
